Mike is not psychic and until he met Ralph he had no experience of dynamic healing, any other kind of spiritual healing or indeed clairvoyance and other psychic practices. He is trying to be as objective as the subject allows, but he is very often out of his depth. He is, however, very aware that Ralph has extraordinary and as yet unexplained gifts, and wants people to know about them. They can make up their own minds.

Dementia
Many patients with the onset of dementia are brought to Ralph by concerned families. It is a harrowing time for everyone. Ralph will never, of course, say that he can make a difference in such instances, but often he is able to delay or soften the effects.

Once he had an elderly patient who was totally disorientated on arrival at the clinic - putting her fingers in the candles, etc. By the time Ralph had treated her for the first time, she was able to carry on a normal conversation and act quite normally. The improvement remained for some time, but not for ever. The lady in question and her family had more happy months than they had ever envisaged.

This has happened on numerous other occasions. Ralph reckons his intervention helps in fifty per cent of such cases.

Ralph’s mother’s replacement knee
Ralph’s mother Daphne (who, incidentally, has some of Ralph’s healing abilities) has had troublesome knees for some time, and Ralph has been able to ‘make things better for her’, but eventually he could do no more and Mrs Ticehurst had to go to hospital in Peterborough to have a knee replaced. The operation was carried out by a team of French doctors and the nurses were RAF personnel.
As she came round from the anaesthetic the nursing orderlies noticed that her knee was twitching in a way that they had not seen before, with the kneecap jerking north/south and east/west. It turned out that Ralph was doing distance healing on her. But Mrs Ticehurst was irritated by the twitching and wanted it to stop. She thought that the knee was working too hard. Trouble was that Ralph was in Greece. Mrs Ticehurst phoned her grandson, who phoned his father, who immediately stopped the process. Mrs Ticehurst left the hospital without crutches, never used crutches, and was soon in fine fettle again.

Distance healing
A gentleman in South Africa was dying of lung cancer and was in considerable pain. His wife got on the phone to Ralph, asking if he could help him. Later she phoned Ralph again to say that a golden light had come into his room with the distant healing and his pain had disappeared. He felt no further pain up to the time of his death seven months later.

Seeing the past
Whilst Ralph and Jan were in Greece they went on a guided archaeological tour. They came to a ring of stone blocks, just one block high. Ralph had the vision of more blocks on top and a person inside in a sitting position with his hands in his lap, palm upwards. The guide, a full-blown archaeologist himself, was amazed that Ralph knew what was in the now non-existent sarcophagus. Apparently it was the fashion at one time for the dead to be put in a sitting position with hands in lap as rigor mortis was setting in, so that members of the family, in paying homage. would place gifts in the dead person’s palms. Not a lot of people know that!

Psychic surgery
Ralph is able at times to perform what we might call psychic surgery. It is worth reading up on the subject in Wikipedia. It is debunked by most responsible bodies as fraud, but there has to be some explanation of what actually happens.
Wikipedia states: Although psychic surgery varies by region and practitioner, it usually follows some common lines. Without the use of a surgical instrument, a practitioner will press the tips of his/her fingers against the patient's skin in the area to be treated. The practitioner's hands appear to penetrate into the patient's body painlessly and blood seems to flow. The practitioner will then show organic matter or foreign objects apparently removed from the patient's body, clean the area, and then end the procedure with the patient's skin showing no wounds or scars.
One case that has happened with Ralph is of a lady who had a mastectomy. A lump developed afterwards under her armpit. At a session with Ralph she ‘felt’ fingers entering her body to remove the lump and the lump disappeared - to the surprise of her oncologist.

Backs
We mentioned in the last Newsletter the case of the gentleman who had displaced vertebrae after a road accident. Surgeons put some back, but not all. Through Ralph’s intervention the remaining vertebrae were put back - without hands being laid on the patient at all.
The patient’s body moved from Ralph’s healing bed onto the floor (!) where the body manipulated itself through body leverage, and clicks were heard and the displaced vertebrae were put back to where they belonged.

Sceptics?
Many people are sceptical of healers, and indeed some ‘healers’ are charlatans or attribute to themselves healing skills that they do not really possess. I was sceptical at first, but when you see the healing happening before your eyes you have to question your scepticism. When you appreciate the integrity of the healer, it is perhaps time to revise your attitudes. I suppose that may be what happened when people saw Jesus performing ‘miracles’.

Some people attribute Ralph’s ‘successes’ to the placebo effect, and indeed in some instances that may be the case. The same may be true of animals. They do not know about the placebo effect, but they do know through memory when to expect happy outcomes. For instance a dog may associate a visit to the vet less with the mildly uncomfortable injection than with the pleasant ride in a car, so he is happy to go again (for the ride).

Ralph says that he takes away the placebo effect by inducing natural physical repair movements, not just only in humans, but in horses, cats and dogs as well. Additionally, scientific trials with a scientist had Ralph working on plants - which, by the way, Ralph had vibrating with the healing energies.

It is probably worth while googling ‘placebo’. The topic is not as simple as it may appear.

Ralph’s gift. Where does it come from?
It may be inherited and developed from generation to generation. We mentioned that Ralph’s mother had some ‘healing’ talent, but Ralph has also mentioned that he had an uncle who was a medium, and his great-grandmother had similar attributes. I hope to develop this theme further.

Ralph in ‘trouble’ again
Recently Ralph and Jan went out for a meal at a garden centre in Stamford. The bill came to £27.60. Ralph wanted to pay by card. When the amount was punched in it changed to £276.00 and kept increasing until it registered over £250,000 and climbing. Ralph considered this a bit over the top, so he paid with cash.
